JOB ADVERT - Labour Radio News Producer

Workers World Media Productions is a dynamic and growing non-profit media organization serving the needs of the trade union movement, NGOs and working class communities. We require an experienced and skilled Labour Radio News Producer.

Requirements from applicants for this job:
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Full competency in the use of Pro-Tools audio production programme on Imac.
- Research ability and creating relevant news for radio broadcasts from information gathered.
- A relevant post-matric qualification and/or experience.
- A good speaking voice.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- A commitment to the socio-economic and political upliftment of working class people. Trade union/labour/ community organising experience, fluency in isiZulu and additional media skills will be an added advantage.

Conditions of employment:
A salary package commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience, including a provident fund, medical-aid, a 13th cheque and generous leave provisions. The job is based in Cape Town and will require travelling from time to time.
