Do you want to be a radio presenter or producer?

Bush Radio, a community radio station in Cape Town, is offering one year full-time trainee placements.

Do you meet these requirements:
* Be outgoing and confident
* Have the ability to engage with an audience
* Have excellent communication and presentation skills
* Have an inquisitive, inquiring nature
* Good knowledge of current affairs
* Be able to think on your feet and stay calm under pressure
* Be creative and flexible
* Communicate effectively (written and spoken) in one or more of the following languages; English, Xhosa and Afrikaans.

Producers and presenters work at the forefront of radio production, and are responsible for keeping shows running by introducing items, setting up and interviewing guests, asking questions, introducing and hosting current programmes as well as operating technical equipment.

What do you need to do:
Submit a detailed CV with three contactable references.
Write a 500 word motivation on why you want to be considered.
(State your preference for presenter / producer traineeship clearly)
Should your application be selected you will be required to complete a general knowledge and computer literacy evaluation.

If you are successful candidate you will receive:
- Work experience at an "ON AIR" radio station.
- Training opportunities to develop your skills.
- Training allowance (R 1500 - R 2000 neg. dependent on experience / qualifications)
